[ And with that, the pen is rolled into the scroll, the scroll is rolled up and pocketed, and Kazue moves to do a few minor things that include dawning more appropriate dress before leaving the otherwise empty apartment. Takkun took to her shoulder as she prepared to cross the threshold, the door locked and seals applied for security purposes.

It doesn't take her long to reach the building and less time to reach the roof. The murkiness in her head doesn't quite leave in that time, nor will it entirely for the same lack of sleep that sees her mood teeter and totter and roll about and in between. Turning her eyes around, she pauses, searching for a familiar head of hair alongside Takkun, who leans to look as well. ]

[ He's sat in the same place he has been for the past four hours - so stationary that his minders have retreated to long-distance monitoring and are playing Go on another roof. On the bright side, he's finished maintaining every single one of his kunai and rewritten all of his older tags and seals. They're arrayed in front of him in meticulous semicircles, ready to go back into various pouches and scrolls.

It's the clatter of wood and metal that has him lift his head, and he greets her and Takkun with the faintest of smiles. He's been calmer recently and those almost-smiles have come more easily, but they both know why. ]
